Web Greeting card and Web Design Tools
Change your home page to be a web greeting card to someone you know. Include
a link to a new Web Design tools page that you create.
Requirements for Greeting card and Web Design Tools are listed below. When
you are done, ask someone who is not on your PC to look at the web site to ensure
they see the same thing you do. Then upload a document with your web address
and any problems you had to moodle.
How to Start:
- If you prefer to dive right in: Read the requirements below. Change
your index.html to have everything the greeting card page requires. Create
a new web design tools page. If you have trouble, just look at instructions
for the parts you need.
- If you prefer to follow instructions or watch movies: use
the step by step instructions
- Greeting Card Page (your home page - index.html)
- choose a recipient
- write a greeting
- List 10 things you remember doing with the person
- set a background picture
- set the title to "web greeting from <your name>". You
want this to display in the blue bar at the top of the screen
- insert at least one picture that is not the background.
- include a link to e-mail yourself (but you can use a fake email address
if you prefer)
- include a link to the top of the page
- include a link to any other site
- include a link to the web design tools page you will make
- note: if you link from a picture, put a border around the picture so I
can tell it is a link.
- This new page is about Web Design. It should contain links to sites that
have tools that help you create web pages, or good articles about how to
create, host or market web sites.
- Add a link to another page on your own web site (not to another web site)
- A link from the top to somewhere in the middle of the page
- Create a thumbnail: Have a picture that links to a larger version of itself.
You need 2 picture files for this, with one made smaller in size through
google drawing. Place a border around the picture so I will know to click
it.
- One table with borders
- One table with no borders
- Copy some HTML from another source. You can copy the embed command from
http://www.youtube.com/ video or you can copy from any other source.
