Social Networking Power Point Exercise:
Goal: Create a 3 slide powerpoint that demonstrates the use of a few advanced power point skills and shows the beginning of your research into your social networking topic. You will use the Master Slide, animations with start options and hyperlinks. See list of requirements below. You will also present the beginning of your research of on your topic using one article found in a database.

1) Please choose a topic relating to a ethical dilemma that has arisen due to technology changes, preferrably social networking. Click here for a list of possible topics.
2) Research databases to find just one source related to your topic. Click here for database suggestions.
3) Place any picture on the master slide and change default bullet color
- view / slide master or view / Master / Slide master
- on the top layout template, insert a picture
- Highlight the first bullet. Change the font to a different color.
- view / normal to go back to editing the slides in your power point
4) On Slide 1: your chosen social networking issue and name:
- type your chosen social networking issue
- type your name
5) On Slide 2: the name of one article found in a database, at least 3 animated bullets of facts from the source that all run with one mouse click:
- insert / new slide ( or just slide)
- write the name of the article you found in a database, or the complete citation.
- write 3 facts you might use from the article
- find the animation pane using animation / animation pane or Slideshow / animation pane or custom animation
- highlight the first bullet and choose an animation
- repeat for the next 2 bullets, choosing different animations
- in the animation pane, click on the second animated bullet and change start to "with previous"
- in the animation pane, click on the third animated bullet and change start to "with previous"
6) On Slide 3, create a link to the first page.
- insert / new slide ( or just slide)
- type "go to beginning"
- highlight the words and click insert / hyperlink
- For Powerpoint:
- click "place in this document"
- click the title of the first page.
- click ok
- slideshow / view show
- For Open Office Presentation:
- click "Document"
- Click the circle next to "target"
- Click Slide 1
- Click Apply on the right
- Click Apply on the left
- Click Close
- Click slideshow / slideshow
- click to get to the last slide and then click on the hyperlink
7) Upload the powerpoint to moodle.
