HARDWARE REPORT REFLECTIONS
- Everyone can bring their grade up to at least 95. Just hand in your old
report with the new one. Just reformatting can bring your grade up 30 points
if that was a problem in your paper. Just adding in Adelphi Library research
articles can add 10 points.
- Grammar rule for "and": When you have two sentences strung together
by "and", then "and" should have a comma before it. (If
the portion after the and can read as a good sentence, put a comma before
that and.)
- MLA and APA citation formats require the url of the web site for a citation
of an article from a database.
- Mac now uses only Intel chips, so you cannot purchase their products with
AMD or Motorola chips. They do offer the full range of intel core 2 chips,
including the quad.
- Laser printers are not only for 100's of pages. They can be good and economical
for home use if you print a lot of black and white.
- A new page for each topic is not required.
- DVD writer can be the backup device.
- Blu-ray is proper spelling. It is purposely misspelled for copyright information.
- Online backup services charge a yearly fee.
- Almost all software publishes minimum requirements.
- Solid Ink (wax) printer does not need special paper; instead it can print
on special paper if required.
- Intel vs AMD - Intel may have more speed at less cost now, but that has
only been true for less than a year. It might change. AMD is definitely a
proven, trustworthy company.
- Blu-ray vs HD DVD commentary includes opinions. The market war is not yet
over, though is leaning towards Blu-ray for movies.
- RAID cannot exist without two hard drives.
- For the printer and processor, I wanted more than just quoting marketing
material.
