Reem Khamis-Dakwar
Lab Director

Reem Khamis-Dakwar is the director of the Neurophysiology in speech language pathology  Lab, and is an Assistant Professor for the communication sciences and disorders program in Adelphi University. She holds a Ph.D. in speech-language pathology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her research is concerned with the neural correlates of linguistic processing and representation in specific sociolinguistic situations , such in Arabic diglossia , and understanding the neural basis or correlates of functional changes related to behavioral SLP  treatment  and new learning . She teaches graduate level courses in Neuroscience and communication Disorders at Adelphi.

Michael Hammond
Research Assistant

Michael Hammond is currently enrolled in the Long Island Au.D. Consortium leading to his clinical doctorate (Au.D.) in Audiology.  His research focuses on examining the effects of therapy on individuals with auditory agnosia.
