The issue is:
Cyberbullying is a form of bullying that takes place through the internet and is related to high number of suicides among adolescents.
My Position is:
Cyberbullying is significantly different from traditional bullying and has a more serious impact on it's victims.
2 Arguments for my position are:
Parents/educators or others who would intervene in bullying cases have little to no oversight of what happens online.
Cyberbullying allows bullying to be pervasive in a victim's life. Traditional bullying stopped when the victim went home after school, now the victim goes home, only to be harassed online as well.
2 Arguments against my position are:
Oversight by authority figures doesn't stop bullying, it just forces it to happen in less conspicuous ways.
A cyberbullying victim can simply block bullies or turn off the computer, etc.
