Train: "Scenic Ltd" $12 (senior), $14 (younger), $ 9 (kids) 1 hr 45 min
Leaves Rockside Station 7900 Old Rockside Rd Independence, OH at 1 pm
Take I-77 to Rockside Rd exit (Exit #155) Probably, local Rd from our hotel
Go East on Rockside Rd. 1.2 miles to Canal Rd.
Go North on Canal Rd 1 short block & turn West (left) on OLD Rockside Rd
Boarding site is 0.10 miles on the left. Signs are posted. Be there by 12:35 pm
Buy sandwich locally or we can eat ahead. Soda, snacks & some juices on train.

Susan C Parmelee (mother of Dr. Willis Hobson) grew up in Valley City OH, where the D. A. Parmelee's house still stands (W River Rd, on National Register of Historic Places). From its name, I 'm sure it was owned by Dwight Angier, Susan's youngest brother. Her other siblings: William, James, Ada (parents Asahel & Fanny West Bates Parmelee). Also, Asa Delos & Charles Parmelee, by Asahel's first wife, Clarinda.
