DIRECTIONS to the COURTYARD/MARRIOT HOTEL in INDEPENDENCE, OH

From Cleveland Airport (5300 Riverside Dr) 12.25 miles 16 minutes
1. Start out going WEST on HOTEL RD / RIVERSIDE DR toward PARK RD.
Right away turn LEFT onto PARK RD & another LEFT and LEFT again.
Merge onto OH-237 N (the ramp on the LEFT) going toward I-71 /
CLEVELAND / I-480 for 0.4 miles Then, merge onto BEREA FREEWAY
2. Take I-480 -I-480E EAST towards Youngstown 9. 5 miles
3. Take Exit 20A (I-77 SOUTH) toward Akron (after Jennings Freewy & Exit 17A)
4. Take Rockside Rd exit, towards Independence/Seven Hills [right turn onto
Rockside. And turn right at first light (West Creek Rd) The Marriot is on the
right, corner of W Creek & Jefferson. Taxi from airport costs ~ $25 (one way)

1: Get to OH-231 / N MAIN ST / N MORRISON ST & follow OH-231 0.8 miles
2: Merge onto US-30 E via ramp on the LEFT toward MANSFIELD 39.3 miles
3: Merge onto I-71 N toward CLEVELAND. 43.8 miles
4: Merge onto I-271 N via EXIT 220 toward ERIE PA. 10.0 miles
5: Merge onto I-77 N via EXIT 10 toward CLEVELAND. 12.1 miles
6: Take ROCKSIDE RD exit (EXIT 155) toward SEVEN HILLS/ INDEPENDENCE
7: Turn LEFT onto ROCKSIDE Rd .0.3 miles then RIGHT onto W. CREEK Rd
From Columbus OH (where Eddie lives) 137 miles 2 hrs 20 minutes
1. From US-33 E / S 3RD ST, you should be able to get I-71 N/ I-70 E
2: Merge onto interstate via the ramp on the LEFT toward WHEELING. 0.5 mi
3: Merge onto I-71 N via EXIT 101A on the LEFT toward CLEVELAND 112.6 mi
4: Merge onto I-271 N via EXIT 220 toward ERIE PA. 10.0 miles
5: Merge onto I-77 N via EXIT 10 toward CLEVELAND 12.1 miles

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad trip: Saturday, OCT. 22 1:00 pm train

The railroad runs through the Cuyahoga Valley Natl Park, along the Cuyahoga River and the historic Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail (Cleveland-Akron-Canton). Scenic Ltd 1 pm $12 (senior), $14 (younger), $ 9 (kids) (13/4 hours). Leaves from Rockville Station at the northern end of CV Natl Park (CVSR 800-468-4070) It's ~2 miles from the Mariott to station.
