About GUIDE DOGS:: one nice article is the New York Times
series on "ACES" (trained in NJ) and how this Labrador and his new
master learned to work together before
they returned to Seattle. Aces was born in April 1990, so he would
middle-aged by now.

The Guide Dog Foundation,
located in Smithtown NY, does wonderful work.
And I personally owe a special thanks to Emily Biegel and several other
foundation staff members: they shared their wisdom and brought
demonstration dogs to my Psychology 202 classes, plus they kept me
posted on Lexus.
