CHANGED
OUTSIDE CLASS @ home on 4/3/12
We met on the bleachers during our first day of school with
curiosity and excitement.
We talked for hours and hours, in smiles and in tears.
Those few weeks feeling like years.
I cried, you smiled.
You cried, I smiled.
We walked those miles of days of our high school lives with only
each other.
You were always the wise one.
You were always the brightest one.
With what little I had, you made up for.
But after those years, I've come to realize how different and
similar we are.
You have always helped me.
You have always given me courage.
Have I helped you in some way too?
I remember those days when you kept falling asleep in US History,
and I had to keep track of the lecture for you.
I remember those nights when you were so tired, you mixed you
dreams with reality.
I remember those afternoons when you had to go to Mr. Spinnato,
while I waited for you outside the room.
I remember calling you early in the morning when I felt like
crying because of a boy.
I remember those summer days,
those fall days,
those winter days,
those spring days like they were years ago.
Growing up, we never realized we had to grow apart.
