EXAM GUIDELINES
1.
Leave all bags, books, backpacks etc. in the designated area.
2.
Turn off all electronic devices and keep in a bag or backpack.
3.
Take only a writing utensil and a calculator (NOT a PDA or cell phone
calculator) to your desk. Only your
test, pencils/pen, calculator (if Professor permits) and scantron
will be permitted on your desk. (No drinks, food, tissues, pencil boxes etc.
will be permitted)
4.
Do not wear hats of any type, except for religious reasons.
5.
Seats may be assigned.
6.
Do not talk for any reason after you are seated for your exam.
7.
Keep your eyes on your paper. Do not look around the room.
8.
Keep all papers flat on your desk.
9.
Do not tap pencils, pens, fingers etc. on the desk.
10.
Leaving the room for any reason is not permitted. Go to the restroom before the
exam if necessary.
11.
When you have finished your exam, turn over your
test and scantron and raise you
hand.
12. If directed by your professor, as soon as you
hand in your scantron you must leave the room. *
13. Do not loiter outside the classroom. It is very
distracting to students who are still testing.

Academic dishonesty of any type will not be tolerated (see the University Honor
Code below)

The Code of Academic Honesty
The code of academic honesty prohibits behavior,
which can broadly be described as lying, cheating, or stealing. Violations of
the code of academic honesty will include, but are not limited to, the
following:
1. Fabricating data or citations
2. Collaborating in areas prohibited by the
professor
3. Unauthorized multiple submission of work
4. Sabotage of others’ work, including library
vandalism or manipulation
5. Plagiarism: presenting any work as one’s own
that is not one’s own
6. The creation of unfair advantage
7. The facilitation of dishonesty
8. Tampering with or falsifying records
9. Cheating on examinations through the use of
written materials or giving or receiving help in any form during the exam,
including talking, signals, electronic devices, etc.
