• There are repercussions for cyber bullying in society today, so the percentage of active cyber bullying has decreased.

• While people believe that cyber bullying is acceptable due to the First Amendment which allows freedom of speech, the First Amendment does not apply when a threat against another person is made. Most of the time when cyber bullying occurs, a threat to a persons well being or reputation is occuring. (Huffman, B., 2015, pg 306)
  

• Cyber bullying is less depreciative than actual physical bullying because it is not face-to-face.

• Since the actual bullying is not face-to-face, cyberbullying can be kept anonymous. Young adolescents typically tend to feel less victimized if they are unaware of the person that the negativity is coming from. (Beale, A., 2007, pg 8)
