The issue is: Whether
data mining is considered a privacy issues on individual’s
private social media.
My position
is: Data mining is an invasion of an individual’s
private information and interests.
*Note*
Data mining- companies that gather information about what
an individual is viewing on his or her computer. Then,
statistical analysts put the data together, and companies can
provide campaigns and ads on an individual's social media, and
it is guaranteed to be something the person is interested in
based on what they have viewed on his or her computer
(Clemmitt, 2013, p. 89).
