For the first daily problem, work the following exercises from the book,

  • Page 94: 5, 6

as well as the the following problem.

  • Guess the vaule of $\displaystyle \lim_{x \to \sqrt 2}\frac{x-2}{x^2-2}$.

Another way to ask the above problem is the following: What value is $\displaystyle f(x) = \frac{x-2}{x^2-2}$ getting close to as $x$ is getting close to $\sqrt 2$? You must use some sort of table for this problem. You cannot use any theory on limits of functions.
