Head Coach Linda Jelovich:

Head coach Linda Jelovich is currently in her 11th season at the helm of Adelphi University's men and women's swim team.

Over her decade of being the head coach of the Brown and Gold's aquatics, Jelovich has help rewrite all the Panthers' records except three, including nine records broken by the men this season: 200 Free, 500 Free, 1000 Free, 1650 Free, 100 back, 200 IM, 400 IM, 400 Free Relay, and the 800 Free Relay. Under her direction both squads have consistently posted top ten finishes in the Metropolitan Championships and have done well on an individual level at East Coast Athletic Conference Championships.

Prior to taking over as head coach, she held a one year stint as the assistant swim coach. Jelovich is an alumnus of Adelphi University, graduating with a B.A. in Elementary Education in 1996, a Master's in Physical Education in 1998 and a second Masters in Health Education in August 2002. Jelovich recently completed a certificate in Educational Leadership and Technology (School Administration) in May 2005.

A former Division II freestyle swimmer for Adelphi from 1993-97, Jelovich received the Elizabeth Magilligan Glenbocki award during her senior year. Jelovich has coach for the Town of North Hempstead swim team from 1992-98 and has also served as head women's coach for Our Lady of Mercy Academy from 1995-98. Jelovich resides in New Hyde Park and teaches Physical Education for the Merrick School District.

Jelovich is a member of the N.Y. State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYSAHPERD), vice-president of the Metropolitan Swim Conference and the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). She has volunteered at the 1998 Goodwill Games held at Eisenhower Park, NY; the 1998 World Sport Science Conference hosted by Adelphi University and also volunteered at the 2004 NCAA Division I Men's Swim Championship.
