The first two pages of my Pre-WWII and immediate post-Pearl Harbor pilot log.
The famous grasshopper J-3 Piper Cub had more than one engine configuration as can
be seen. The log shows Lycoming 50, Franklin 65, representing 50 horsepower and 65
horsepower, respectively. My recollection is that one of these, though recorded as 50 hp,
was really a two cylinder horizontally opposed Lycoming 45 ( 45 hp)
