Dance
for a Cause
In September my dancing school and i
participated in a cancer benefit called, Arts for a Cause. It was
located in Poly Prep High School in Brooklyn, New York. Student singers
and musicians performed as well. Dance is a great way to raise money
for cancer awareness. Dance can express so many emotions without saying
one word.
This is very important to me because my dance teacher of fifteen years
recently got diagonsed with stage 3 breast cancer. Her name is Nicole
Donlon and she is 33 years old. It has been a hard time living with
this disease but she tries to look at what she can do to help the
future breast cancer victims.
Nicole Donlon
In order to help other women she has invested her time in her
breast cancer campaign called, "Save the Shimmy." We are all in support
of her and are so proud of her strength.
