The workshop will be in the Faculty Development Classroom, rooms 124-126 of Alumnae Hall, Adelphi University, Garden City, NY.
Alumnae Hall is not to be confused with Alumni House, which is perhaps 200 yards away. To get to Alumnae Hall, take the Cambridge Avenue entrance (on the south side of campus), not to be confused with the South Avenue entrance (on the north side of campus). Head diagonally to your right across a parking lot; you'll pass Post Hall on your left and a child-care center on your right, and Alumnae will be on your left.
See the maps of campus and the nearby area, and directions to the campus.
If you're coming from outside the greater New York City area, you'll
presumably come by plane or train.
By plane: fly into JFK, LaGuardia, or Islip and
take a taxi ($20-30) to Adelphi University in Garden City. Or rent a
car and follow the directions and
maps.
By train: come into Penn Station New York, walk
down a flight of stairs from the Amtrak level to the
LIRR level, and
take a "Hempstead line" train, getting off at the "Nassau Boulevard"
station (it should be about 45 minutes, possibly changing trains at
Jamaica). From the train station, cross Nassau Boulevard and walk about
five blocks east, parallel to the train tracks (they're on your left),
to campus.
