This course meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00-12:50 PM in Hagedorn 111.
I've chosen two textbooks for this course (and for CSC 344 next semester):
Cormen, Leiserson, Rivest, and Stein's classic Introduction to Algorithms, third edition, which you can buy in hardback, buy as an e-book, or rent as an e-book. If you're a student member of the ACM, you also have access to the second edition (which is mostly the same as the third edition) on-line for free. I wouldn't recommend renting it, as most programmers who buy this book end up keeping it on the bookshelf next to their computers for reference for the rest of their careers.
Cliff Shaffer's Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis, which you can buy on paper or download for free from http://people.cs.vt.edu/~shaffer/Book/.
My office hours are MW 2:20-4:00, T 10:00-4:00 or by appointment.
