The Language of Minimal Scheme
Learning a human language requires learning a new set of
spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and idioms. The same is true of
a computer language like Scheme.
In addition, here's the documentation for
the tiles
teachpack. To install it, follow these
directions:
- Start up DrScheme (version 300 or higher).
- From the "File" menu, choose "Install .plt
file...".
- Make sure the "Web" tab is selected, not the
"File" tab.
- Type in the URL
http://home.adelphi.edu/sbloch/class/171/tiles.plt
and click "OK".
- You should see a series of messages, ending with "Done
setting up." If you get this far, the software is installed
on your computer.
- If you're using one of the computers in an on-campus lab, you
may need to do this again every time somebody turns off the
computer. If you're using your own computer, you should never have
to do it again (unless you install a newer version of DrScheme).
