Develop a 5-minute PowerPoint slide show on a topic of your choice: perhaps the same topic as your paper (homework 2), or perhaps something completely different that interests you.
Present your slide show to the class on either March 30 or April 1 (the last two days before Spring Break). This will require signing up in advance for a time slot.
During other students' presentations on March 30 and April 1, take notes of what "works" and what doesn't, and write a paragraph or two about your conclusions. (You don't have to name specific classmates, but you may if you wish. What you say won't affect anybody else's grade, only your own.) Turn this in by the end of the day, April 2 (the day before Spring Break, so if you want to leave early, you need to finish this early).
Your presentation should include a variety of PowerPoint features, e.g. titles, bulleted lists, pictures, transitions, visual effects, background patterns, Web links, etc. However, try to use these in a way that supports the topic of your presentation, rather than distracting from it. If you're not sure whether a particular effect helps or hurts, show it to a friend who's not in the class and ask for feedback.
