Symposium on Perinatal/Infant
Health Needs in Hudson Valley, New York! (posted

Adelphi University School of Social Work, along with Lower Hudson
Valley Perinatal Network, Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Marist
College, and Maternal Infant Services Network, convene a workgroup
symposium to identify community-based opportunities in
marginalized
communities and improve infant/family health needs on January 19, 2011
at Marist College. Critical to this workgroup is identifying gaps
in services, and conceptualizing if not mapping the resources,
opportunities and support systems available within at-risk communities
in Hudson Valley to improve overall well-being of infants and young
children and their families. For further information on this

Young Veterans' Universe (posted

After nearly two years in the making, Treating Young Veterans is
expected to debut in May, 2011 under the imprint of Springer
Publishing. With 15 chapters, plus a Foreword written by Peter B.
Vaughn, Dean, School of Social Service, Fordham University, dedicated
to improving support, service and well-being to our Veterans and their
families, this book will educate, uplift and teach us how we must
address and serve a new generation of Veterans. Take a look at an

Year! Great job! This is a phenomenal honor bestowed onto
students who demonstrate leadership, scholarship and service in pursuit
of their degree in Social Work. He is an outstanding student,
