My Doctoral Students

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Adelphi used to offer a Doctor of Arts degree. Six students wrote their theses with me:

Patricia Rose Allaire, The Development of British Symbolical Algebra as a Response to " The Problem of the Negatives" with an Emphasis on the Contribution of Duncan Farquharson Gregory, conferred May 1997. Pat is a full professor at Queensborough Community College, CUNY.
Thomas James Bannon, The TRAP Algorithm for Polygons, conferred May 1996. Tom is a math teacher at Van Buren High School in Queens.
Loucas A. Chrysafi, Returns to the Origin in Random Walks, conferred May 1997. Loucas is an assistant professor at SUNY Farmingdale.
Agnes M. Kalemaris, Grace Murray Hopper, Mathematician, conferred May 2000. Agnes is an associate professor and the Director of the Mathematics Center at SUNY Farmingdale.
Purushothaman Masilamani, Complex Fluid Flow Based on Lattice Boltzman Equation, conferred August 1999. Purush is a lecturer Arizona State University.
Patrick J. Wallach, The Modified batch Algorithm for Loop-erased Self-avoiding Walks, conferred August 1998. Pat is an associate professor at Queensborough Community College, CUNY.

Sven Dietrich, A Formal Analysis of the Secure Sockets Layer Protocol, conferred May 1997. Sven works at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
